At National Dance Institute of NYC, Monique taught
basic ballet for the summer school and assisted the choreographer
with choreograph for the show; taught acting technique using
non-verbal communication for Playwrights Horizon Theater School,
Tisch School of the Arts; was the teaching artist for Manhattan
Theatre Club, Theatre Development Fund/Theatre Access Project
of NYC; taught for Juilliard Theater Interpreting Program and
worked with Hyattsville Elementary with play writing for Young
Playwrights’ Theater
of Washington, DC.
Monique obtained her BFA in Acting from Tisch School of the
Arts, New York University. She is also a member of acting unions
EQUITY and SAG/AFTRA. She has acted with Shakespeare Theatre,
Milwaukee Repertory Theatre as well as many others. She
is currently studying Linguistics at Gallaudet University.
Her goal is to create the Linguistics of Theatre. As Quest’s
Artsbridge Coordinator she organizes and teaches several kinds
of theatre and business workshops.

Vincent E. Thomas, dancer, choreographer
and teacher, received his MFA in Dance from Florida State University
and a BME in Music from the University of South Carolina. He
has danced with Dance Repertory Theatre (FSU), Randy James
Dance Works (NY/NJ), Liz Lerman Dance Exchange (MD), and is
a guest performer with EDGEWORKS Dance Theater (DC). Vincent’s choreography
has been presented at Piccolo Spoleto (SC), Diverse Works (TX),
Contemporary Arts Center (LA), The 2005 International Association
of Blacks in Dance Conference (CA) and many more. He has presented
his solo “Prelude/Frustration in a Martini” at
a gala concert of dances selected for their choreographic excellence
by a panel of nationally recognized adjudicators, at the Clarice
Smith Performing Arts Center (MD). Vincent is a recipient of
a 2005 Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist Award
in Choreography, 2005 City Arts & Humanities Individual
Artist Grant, 2004 Maryland State Arts Council Individual Artist
Award in Solo Dance Performance and the 2004 Henry C. Welcome
Fellowship. In June 2005, Vincent performed in the International
Choreographers’ Showcase in Barcelona and Madrid, Spain.
He was selected as one of eleven choreographers from around
the world to convene for the Omi International Dance Collective.
He has been on faculty at McLean High School (VA), George Mason
University (VA) and presently a faculty member for the Urban
Bush Women Summer Institutes and an Assistant Professor at
Towson University (MD).
