Believe: Make Your Acting Come Alive!

Workshop
Middle School Students (Ages 11-14 are welcome.)
Iosif Schneiderman (Swept Away)
Many mimetic movements are in themselves not virtual representations of an object, but they make those objects come alive in a believable way. Through demonstrations and exercises, Iosif Schneiderman will explain the differences between drama, clowning, ballet, pantomime and mime. Students will learn what makes an actor’s movement seem real and believable or fake and unbelievable. Iosif will teach techniques related to weight of an object, grab and release, the straight line and the wall. Take this workshop and make your acting come alive!
Admission: $15
